Our History - CWC

Our History

1992 – Reverend Nancy Peterson opens the RWC after recognizing an urgent community need to establish a permanent facility from which she could offer alternatives education and provide support to women in unplanned pregnancies.

Officially opened 9/8/92. Grand opening 9/11/92 and first baby spared from on same day.

1993 – First baby born through our life-saving efforts is Brandon on Valentine’s Day! First adoption placement in April.

2012 – RWC purchases a brand new, 31-foot retro-fitted RV, complete with ultrasound, exam table and flat-screen TV for viewing ultrasounds! Mobile ministry will significantly impact what God clearly laid on the heart of our founder in 1992 “to reach out to women who are at risk of their babies.”

2016 – RWC expands our medical team by incorporating the ICU Mobile Clinic staff.

2016 – RWC purchases a second mobile ultrasound imaging machine that allows sonographers to obtain clearer images earlier in the pregnancy. It’s the same unit that the Mayo Clinic uses.

2019 – RWC was blessed with generous funds from an anonymous donor for our second new state-of-the-art Ultrasound, the same one the Mayo Clinic uses. With the addition of this machine, we can run two ultrasound appointments at the same time when we are doubled staffed. What a blessing to see women right away when they need the truth of life the most!

2020 – FOCUS patient care model training and implementation. This program guides patients through the steps of making their own pregnancy decision which has greatly increased the number of -determined women who are choosing life.

2021 – RWC purchases our most state-of-the-art ultrasound imaging machine to date providing women the ability to see clear and early images of their baby.

2023 – RWC sells both buildings in Robbinsdale and moves to Crystal Shopping Center 2.5 miles down West Broadway serving the community as CWC.
